Aural fixation

Well, if my co-workers didn't think I was nuts already, I just listened to all the finalists for the Metro voice. I had fun with it at first -- whenever their heads would swivel toward me upon hearing a clear "Please stand clear of the doors!" I'd mute it and pretend I heard nothing -- but I'm afraid the Metro voters made the wrong call.

Randi Miller just sounds too automated, too computerized. Frankly, Steve Broido would have made for some great imitations. (Conversely, I feel like Sarah Fraser is wagging a finger at me or has her arms crossed, full of scorn.) A flirty voice would have won it for me, but absent that, Steve-o's rhythmic flow would have been enjoyable for when I have a job in DC never.
